Brotherhood is just a haircut away!

Posted on July 22, 2023September 4, 2023 by R∴W∴ Charles Dyer

Well, this was the farthest I have ever driven for a haircut, but it was worth all 490 miles. This weekend Tami and I headed to Pensacola for the Junior Grand Warden Homecoming and as always, I try to make sure I get my haircut prior to these events so I don’t look like a hippie. Well, I had realized earlier in the week that my travels would bring me right to the doorstep of one of the greatest barbers in all of Florida.

I had met W.:B.: Bob Eckols several times during my travels across the state, but had always hoped to sit in his chair at least once. Saturday afforded me the opportunity to swing by his shop and do just that. As a matter of fact, W.:B.: Eckols had just passed a major milestone a month prior when he completed his 150,000 haircut. What an amazing accomplishment Brother!

It was a pleasure to sit in your chair and have a great chat while keeping my grooming standards acceptable. Thanks again for all you do!

It’s a great day to be a Mason!
