Three generations of Master Masons stood together this evening at Madison Lodge No. 221 in West Jefferson, Ohio as Grandfather, Father and Son sat in Lodge for the first time together.
My father was a late-comer to Freemasonry, as I was honored to confer all three degrees on my father while serving as Worshipful Master of Urania Lodge No. 311 in Plain City, Ohio. He served as Secretary for several years before moving to Florida and ultimately moving back to the Ohio Masonic Home in 2021.
My son started his journey in Darby Valley Chapter, Order of DeMolay in 2009, I had always hoped he would get enough out of it to show him what would be in store for him as he grew.
When he turned 18, he asked the question and received in Entered Apprentice Degree in Madison Lodge No. 221. Life and works took control of his time for many years, but he finally was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on Saturday March 26, 2022.
I am so full of pride for the man he has become. I had always hoped he would continue this journey after DeMolay, and he FINALLY did it – It only took him 8 years!
A great night for the Dyer men indeed!
Congratulations Tyler Dyer and now you know why I always say…
It’s a great day to be a Mason!!
